La Boheme
La Boheme sings its way onto the Kirby Stage on Friday,February 3rd at 7:30 pm at the F.M. Kirby Center for the Performing Arts. La Boheme made its debut in Turin, Italy in 1896. Since then, it has gone on to become the 4th most frequently presented opera in the world. Teatro Lirico D'Europa presents this classic opera by Giacomo Puccini, which tells the dark, yet romantic, tale of doomed lovers amongst artists of Paris.
Set in Paris around 1830, the story is one of love, romance, anguish; watch and listen as the relationship unfold between two lovers, Rodolfo and Mimi, the Opera’s main characters. Tortured, and beautiful, Mimi and Rodolfo fight and love passionately.
Come see Puccini’s masterpiece that inspired the hit musical “Rent” and is one of the most well-known Operas in the world. Do not miss the evening of Opera, featuring some of the best operatic voices Europe has to offer.
